A traditional ruler in Kogi State and Chairman, Okun Traditional Council, Obaro of Kabba, Oba Michael Folorunsho Olobayo, the Obaro Ero II, is dead.
The Obadofin of Oweland, Oba Michael Yusuf, who is traditionally the second-in-command to the Obaro made the announcement over the weekend.
He was aged 71 and spent 30 years seven months on the throne, having ascended the throne on October 17th, 1985.
The late monarch last year marked his 70th birthday and 13th year on the throne, a ceremony which drew the creme de la creme to the ancient town.
Olobayo was a graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he studied History.
