Abductors of Lagos monarch demand N500m ransom

Barely a week after the abduction of Oniba of Iba Town, Oba Yushau Oseni, his abductors have contacted the family and demanded for about N500 million ransom before his release.
It will be recalled that the 73-year-old monarch was abducted last Saturday, July 16, 2016 and shot five persons including the wife of the monarch. While three of the victims are dead, two others are recuperating at different hospitals. Some of the victims were identified as 25-year-old, Riliwan Rasak, an artisan, Sunday Okanlawon, the palace guard and a-yet-to-be-identified commercial motorcycle operator popularly called Okada.
When Vanguard visited the home of the monarch at about 1:30 pm on Friday, sympathisers have continued to throng the home of the monarch to assure the family of safe return of the Oba. In an interview with Vanguard, a palace source disclosed that the abductors have contacted the family.

More details to come....
