Buhari ‘ll address imbalance in appointments – Adesina

The presidency on Sun­day reacted to the criti­cism that has trailed the lopsided appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari since the inauguration of his government, a year ago.
Speaking on Channels pro­gramme ‘Sunday politics’ yes­terday, the special adviser to the president on media, Femi Adesina explained that ap­pointments are presidential prerogatives but however as­sured that the president would address it in due course.
Adesina also explained that appointment is a process and leads to feedback assuring that the feedback would be pro­cessed that will lead to every­body being satisfied.

Fielding questions on ap­pointments in the security sector,Adesina said that it comes with hierarchy explain­ing that it will be unfair to by­pass hierarchy.
A breakdown of the ap­pointments show that the South -East has 12, South- South 17, South-West 18, North-Central 16, North- East 25 and North-West 34.
Femi was advised to tell president Buhari to adhere to the principles of federal char­acter.
