Partial solar eclipse to occur on September 1

Information obtained from the Centre for Basic Space Science, Nsukka, Nigeria indicates that a partial solar eclipse will occur on September 1, 2016.
It is projected to be one of the longest partial solar eclipses of the century – and it will be visible in many parts of West Africa and Nigeria.
According to information obtained from Prof. Fidelis Opara, the Director of the Centre for Basic Space Science, Nsukka, the calculated time of the partial solar eclipse shows that it will occur at sunrise in all Nigerian cities, thus making each city an excel¬lent location for viewing the eclipse.
The table below summarizes the occurrence of the partial solar eclipse in Nigeria on September 1. The table is divided into eight different columns, each representing a different parameter on the partial solar eclipse.

The first column represents the state capital in Nigeria which the calculation is made signifying locations of high population of observers in the country. The second column shows the time when the partial solar eclipse will begin while column three and four are the respective coordinates of the location under consideration. We present the time of maximum eclipse occurence in column five and the rise time of the sun on column six. The percentage obscuration of the eclipse showing the extent to which the solar disc will be eclipsed as seen from the earth, and the time when the observable eclipse will end are presented in column seven and eight respectively.
