Come out from backsliding, Nigeria's leadership is credible - Rev. Tor Uja

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Tor Uja has described President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Osibanjo’s leadership as credible.
Rev. Uja disclosed this in Abuja while playing host to the leadership of the Centre for Christian Arbitration which paid him a courtesy visit.
He affirmed that the Centre’s vision is noble and its leadership is credible. In the words of the Executive Secretary, “one of the things we are suffering in this country is credible leadership”.

According to the NCPC boss, “we are facing a failure of leadership in the Church in Nigeria; we have gathered things without developing people”.
He called on the Church in Nigeria to come out from backsliding. He stressed that the Church was losing its primary call of evangelism and this is why it is enmeshed in crisis.

He assured his guest that he would like to link up with like-minded Christians to give support to the Centre.
Rev. Uja requested the leadership to accommodate non lawyers in the Centre. In his words: “I will like that we provide ways of providing help for those who are in tears.”
He pledged his support and that of the Commission to the Centre.
Chairman of the Centre and leader of the delegation, Justice James Ogebe informed the NCPC boss that the Centre had enough materials between the body of Christ that could solve any problem without going to regular court.
He stated that “the Centre is trying all its best to create awareness and sensitize Christians about the Centre and the need to key into it”.
Justice Ogebe explained that they have been educating the people about the Centre and it was a privilege to interact with the Executive Secretary on this matter.
He informed that the Centre for Christian Arbitration was inaugurated three years ago by the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Ayim Pius Ayim.
He stated that the basic mission of the Centre is to “refer their disputes to a body of judges who will deliver verdict at a faster rate and of no cost to them”.
Justice Ogebe also stated that the Centre is in dire need of an office complex that would accommodate about five judges. He solicited the support of prominent Christians in the country to help in facilitating the take off of the Centre through financial support.
He explained that the Centre plans to organize a summit to put an end to lingering litigations in various courts by Christians.
