Carnival in Anambra as FC Ifeanyi Ubah go on Victory Tour (photos)

It promises to be a colourful carnival today as football fans in Anambra State have an opportunity to celebrate the 2016 Federation Cup champions, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, when they embark on a victory tour of the state with the glittering trophy.
The parade would commence from Nnewi and through major cities and communities in the state as the victorious team makes its way to the Ifeanyi Ubah International stadium for the carnival.

The gallant Anambra Warriors will later in the day be hosted by the State Governor, Willie Obiano, at the Government Lodge , Awka.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeated Nasarawa United at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, to win the Cup.
It was a historic feat by the Anambra Warriors, who after a heartwarming performance in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), finishing 4th on the final table; went ahead to win the Federation Cup, just two years in Nigerian football.





The Anambra Warrriors will represent Nigeria in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup alongside, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
