1. An extremely corrupt Chairman of EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu
2. A very corrupt Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr.
Babachir Lawal
3. An extremely corrupt Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi as Minister
4. A corrupt Barr. Babatunde Fashola as Minister
5. A corrupt Dr. Kayode Fayemi as Minister
6. A President and Attorney-General/Minister of Justice that doesn't have
respect for rule of law and Court Orders?
No wonder, former British's Prime Minister opined sometime ago that Nigeria
is "FANTASTICALLY CORRUPT". He saw this long ago.
This fight against corruption is just mere lip service and with kid gloves
as long as the aforementioned persons remain in the system or continue with
their dictatorial and tyrannic tendencies/dispositions.
Where is the sincerity in the fight against corruption?
I am still of the view that all corrupt persons should be punished
according to the laws of the land.
You cannot be stealing or stole from the people and be seen in government
or proudly walking the street.
There is the need for Mr. President to look inwardly and weed off the bad
eggs as well as his dispositions/utterances if Nigeria is to get to the
land of greatness.
Our President's utterances to the International Community are some of the
reasons why Nigeria's economy has been nose-diving as it has consistently
made those with the intentions of investing in Nigeria lost trust and
confidence in Nigeria and Nigerians.
You can't give foreigners who are
willing,capable and ready to invest the impression that Nigerians are
corrupt and expect them to still come to invest. We can all see how our
Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been
adversely affected over the months as many companies (both local and
foreign) are winding up or should i say "closing shops? This has adversely
affected Nigerians by making many unemployed, drop in standard of living,
high cost of living, low income per capita and poor health status of
Nigerians.
Mr. President must be mindful of his undiplomatic, unfriendly and
undemocratic dispositions/utterances as they are having an adverse impacts
on the economy, because investors would not come to do business with him
alone but with Nigerians who i adjudged as industrious, kind, generous and
godly though with a handful of the bad eggs a situation that is obtainable
all over the globe.
While we are praying and contributing our quota to the National interest,
unity, peace, harmony, progress, growth and development of Nigeria, the
government at all levels should be seen demonstrating sufficient capacities
and capabilities to making Nigeria even better and taking it to enviable
height.
They should be seen making and putting in place conscious, deliberate and
reliable efforts and sound policies that would better the lives of
Nigerians and make our economy GREAT AGAIN.
