Akande, Tinubu Visits President Buhari in London (Photos)

Former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the pioneer chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, on Thursday visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London.
Buhari is in London on a medical vacation. He was expected back in Nigeria on Monday but he wrote a letter to the National Assembly seeking for an extension of his stay to complete some vital medical tests.

There are however speculations that the President may return to Nigeria tomorrow.
Akande and Tinubu posed with the President on a photograph that was well circulated yesterday.
Also yesterday, the Senate President Bukola Saraki, said that Buhari was hale and hearty in London.
In his twitter handle, Saraki said that he spoke with the President on Wednesday night.
He said: “The President is in good spirit, contrary to insinuations in some sections of the public that he is in a critical condition.
“Happy to have spoken with President Buhari tonight. He was in good spirit and joked about my working late into the night, as usual.

“He is hale and hearty, going by his voice on the telephone which suggested that he is in sound health,’’ Saraki tweetted.
Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, said in a tweet on Thursday afternoon that President Buhari has some concerns about food security in Nigeria.
He said: “@MBuhari called me yesterday evening. He talked about what the Executive/Legislature must do to ensure food security for all Nigerians”.

Dogara said that the President is committed to ensuring that the sufferings that Nigerians went through in 2016 over food security would not occur this year.
The Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the Speaker, Mr. Turaki Hassan, confirmed that the two leaders spoke.
“As the Rt. Hon. Speaker twitted via his official twitter handle @YakubDogara, Mr. President called him at around 9:20pm Wednesday evening and they spoke for about five minutes. They discussed some national issues, including ways of ensuring food security for Nigerians.”
