Southern Kaduna: Buratai, El-Rufai Commended over Efforts to Curb Crisis in the Region

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Tukur Buratai and the Governor of Ka­duna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai were yesterday commended for their ini­tiative to end the crisis in Southern Kaduna.

The Northern Chris­tian Youth Assembly, in a statement by its National Chairman, Peter Bawa, commended the Army Chief for laying the foun­dation for the building of a military barracks in Kaf­anchan, Jema’a Local Gov­ernment Area of the state.

The initiative, the group noted, would go a long way to curtail the menace of marauding killers that have plunged too many communities in the area into mourning.
The youth group also pointed out that the de­velopment would help the military to checkmate troublemakers within that vicinity.
“For us, Gen Buratai’s prompt implementation of the barracks project as approved by the President and Commander in Chief is a demonstration of the administration’s sincere commitment to ensur­ing the safety of lives and property of all citizens irrespective of political or religious leanings.

“It has gone a long way to again show that we truly have responsible and decisive leadership that is willing and able to con­front any emerging evil to ensure Nigerians can live in peace to enjoy their own country.
