For the second time in one week, members of the Kogi State House of Assembly have failed to hold their sitting due to the absence of power supply and stuffy nature of the chamber.
The 6th Assembly has been relying on a generating set to run its sessions due to the epileptic power supply in Lokoja, the state capital.
The House Majority Leader, Hon Matthew Kolawole, who moved the motion for an adjournment on Wednesday, could not hide his feeling over the heat in the chamber.
It was gathered that the generating plant had packed up and efforts to fix it had failed to yield.
This prompted the Speaker, Hon Ahmed Imam, to rule on the suspension of three motions which were slated for deliberation on Wednesday.
The Assembly resolved to reconvene today with the expectation that the outages leading to excessive heat which had previously stalled their sittings would have been addressed.
