Reports: Mr Sullivan Chime has not Decamped to APC - Enugu APC

The Enugu State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr Ben Nwoye has described as false, the report on the social media, that the immediate past governor of the state, Mr Sullivan Chime, has joined the APC.

Nwoye said that in as much as the source of the report was attributed  to the zonal publicity secretary of the party in the South East zone, Hon Hycianth Ngwu, the same Hon Ngwu had earlier retracted his statement.

Dr Nwoye noted that ex Gov. Chime, just like every other Nigerian of ripe age and good character, are free to join APC, the normal process entails that he will first identify at his ward level.

"Thereafter, the ward will present him to his local government chapter of the party, from the local government to the state level. Then the state will present him to the zonal level of the party. We don't walk from up to down," Nwoye stated.

Speaking further,  the chairman  explained that the party in the state has never used the social media to welcome new members into the party. He stressed that they had always invited both the print and electronic media to events where new members were admitted. Therefore, the case of ex governor Chime won't be different, if and when ever he decides to join APC.
