The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, on Tuesday announced that the rehabilitation of the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja has reached seventy-five percent completion.
Sirika made this known via his Twitter account.
He shared a video showing the work being done saying the programme of work is running as outlined.
“Happy to announce we are at 75% completion of Abuja airport rehabilitation.
“Program of work is running as outlined. We thank you all,” he wrote.
Recall that the Minister had vowed to resign if the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja runway was not ready in six weeks period from the period it was shut down for repairs.
The Abuja airport which was shut down on March 8, 2017 is expected to be reopened by April 19.
