The Presidency has given reasons why some N power volunteers have not been paid. Following several complaints over the late/non-payment of allowances of volunteers under its N-Power scheme, the Presidency has stated, according to Nigerian Bulletin, that failure of participants not receiving their allowances are as a result of some factors.
According to the Presidency, the factors include the following:
1. Changed name
2. NO/Incorrect BVN
3. Over 35 years old
4. Don't have required certificate
The approved subsidy is for the purchase of an electronic tablet device. According to Vanguard, the device would be loaded with different applications that would help them access further training opportunities during the two-year duration of the job program. A total of 149, 669 Nigerian graduates are reportedly now collecting their monthly stipends of N30,000 having been physically verified and deployed across the 36 states and FCT.
