Radio Biafra is Duly Registered Under Law in London - Kanu's Lawyer

Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer has said that his client remains the director of Radio Biafra

Ifeanyi Ejiofor also said Radio Biafra is duly registered under the United Kingdom Regulatory Laws

He also said that the world administrative headquarters of the group is now situated in London and Germany

The lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu has said that his client remains the director of Radio Biafra which operates in London.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor said Kanu is the founder of the broadcasting station and at that continues to function as its director deputized by Uche Mefor.

In a statement released on Tuesday, May 16, Ejiofor said: "It is on the face of the ongoing misconception and rumors making the rounds regarding the status of a new renegade channel floated in America that it has become necessary to issue this official clarification with the blessing of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra."

He also said that contrary to reports, Radio Biafra is duly registered under the United Kingdom Regulatory Laws.

Ejiofor said the broadcasting station is fully licensed and censored under relevant regulatory framework.

"Radio Biafra London is the officially sanctioned channel of communication of the Indigenous People of Biafra, through which every information concerning the affairs of Indigenous People of Biafra are disseminated.

At the same time, all members of the Indigenous People of Biafra and the general public are hereby  duly informed that the position of C.O.C (Coordinator of all Coordinators) overall, has been abolished following the recent re-organisation carried out by the Leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide.

Henceforth any person parading himself with the title C.O.C should be regarded and treated as a criminal," Ejiofor said.

He further noted that following the change in IPOB's structural setup, the world administrative headquarters of the group is now situated in London and Germany.

"The officers with the mandate of the leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and through whom the supreme leader Nnamdi Kanu speaks remains Radio Biafra London with satellite stations in South Africa, Malaysia, Germany and soon to be opened United State of America.

The two persons appointed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as being responsible for communicating his thoughts and views to IPOB membership and the rest of the world remains Uche Mefor (the Deputy Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra) and Mazi Chika Edoziem, the Head of the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra," he said

All authority to issue directives rests with the Deputy Leader Uche Mefor and Mazi Chika Edoziem.

Ejiofor warned that any press release, announcement or communication purportedly issued by any other person other than the principal officers mentioned or officers acting on their instruction should be ignored by the general public.

"Above named officers of (IPOB) are the authorized representatives, appointed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the helm of affairs of IPOB. Anybody transacting or relating with any other person, other than Uche Mefor and Chika Edoziem or those appointed by them are doing so at their own risk.

Our Client implores the members of Indigenous People of Biafra, irrespective of their  areas of residence to observe the peaceful sitting at home order scheduled to be held on the 30th day of May 2017, which is set aside to honour Biafra fallen heroes massacred during 1967 to 1970 Biafra genocidal war.

Rights of Indigenous People of Biafra to self determination is not only inalienable but unquestionable. Sit at home order must be peaceful as it is sacrosanct. People are directed to remain law abiding and use the opportunity to pray for the repose of the soul of the Biafra fallen heroes," he concluded.
