Ganduje who spoke through the chairman, Kano state Sports Commission, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, during the opening ceremony of the magnificent sports utility centre praised Musa for investing hugely in sports development.
The Governor further recalled that Ahmed Musa came to limelight in 2007 when he enrolled into the state-owned Kano Pillars Football club from where his talent grew into the wide world of football.
“I am so excited and elated over this wonderful edifice built by Musa for the development of sports in Kano and Nigeria.
“Ahmed Musa has to be celebrated. He has made us to understand that our players need to make investment that will touch the lives of others. This place is an ideal place for aging people and even the younger ones to keep themselves fit.
“We thank Ahmed Musa and we hope that this kind of structure will not only be in Kano alone. We urge him and other Nigerian players to do more of this kind of investment for Kano, the North and Nigeria.”
Musa’s mother, Mrs. Sarah Moses, described her son as a committed footballer who believes in the development of sports in Nigeria.
The 60-year old Mrs. Moses also described her son as a philanthropist who has touched so many lives with his wealth, particularly, the widows and orphans, adding that, “Ahmed has been the bread winner of the family and even our extended family members.”
