Taraba Clashes : Many injured In Gembu Town

No fewer than three persons have been killed and many injured in a fresh communal clash that started on Sunday morning in Sardauna local government area of Taraba State.
The cause of the clash is not yet known, but locals say the violence is between the Kakas and Fulani ethnic groups.

They say fighting erupted Sunday morning after some youth took to the streets destroying property and smashing vehicles. “As I am talking to you, violence has erupted, they are attacking us, and some were killed,” a resident said asking to remain anonymous for security reasons. The resident said he saw three corpses.

The spokesman of Taraba State Command of the Police, David Misal says the Commissioner of Police has led his men to the area to restore peace.
