Portugal defender Pepe has joined Turkish champions Besiktas on a free transfer.
The former Real Madrid centre-back, who was released by the Champions League winners last month, is believed to have signed a three-year deal.
Pepe, 34, was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and had said he received offers from Premier League clubs.
The former FC Porto defender played for Portugal in their Confederations Cup campaign where they reached the semi-finals before losing to Chile on penalties. He scored in the controversial 2-1 victory over Mexico in the third-place play-off on Sunday.
Pepe spent 10 years at Real, winning three La Liga titles and three Champions League winners' medals but injuries saw him make 18 appearances in all competitions last season.
Among his new team-mates at Besiktas are former Liverpool player Ryan Babel and ex-Chelsea and Newcastle United striker Demba Ba.
