“Hello darling…” he whispered trying to hug her
She turned him down walking away from him immediately.
“Just come in please” she snapped
Tunde was still wondering what the problem was until he saw the woman.
“Adunni! Kini o n se ni bi…What are you doing here?” He queried her with authority panting like a racing athlete obviously shocked to find her in Abike’s house.
“Odale ni e, Tunde…gbogbo asiri e lo ti tu si mi lowo (Tunde you are a betrayal…all your secretes have been revealed to me”. Adunni jumped up lamenting while the children ran to him excitedly jumping all over him.
“Daddy……daddy…daddy….” They all chorused.
He knew at the instant he saw the family album that his days of pretence were over. He moved his gaze to Abike.
“My love I can explain…I was going to tell you after the wedding. You see, Adunni is not my kind of woman even though I’m married to her…I am only with her because of what she has done for me in the past… I really love you babes…you are the woman I have ever dreamed of. Classy, intelligent and…..” Abike cut him off sharply
“Tunde before I open my eyes get your family and leave my house!”…
“Abike please…”
“To think your parents agreed to all this…”
“Abike those are not my real parents, I hired them …my real parents are in Abeokuta not Ibadan and there’s no way my parents would have agreed to me taking a second wife, they would have foiled my plans… I did all that because of the love I have for you.”
“Jeez Tunde, you are just unbelievable…please leave my house now!”
“Please my love I am sorry…if I had told you I wanted you as a second wife you wouldn’t have agreed….so we can….”
“Mr Man please you heard her…carry your family and go” Wura snapped at him pushing him slightly.
After Tunde left with his family, Abike ran to Wura and hugged her tightly letting out a loud cry. Wura held her so close reassuring her that all will be well.
“Wura, I’m dreaming right. …this is not happening for real …she sobbed uncontrollably.”
“Please pull yourself together dear…I assure you everything will be just fine.”
“eeeee….Wura…..it’s like I’m cursed ooo”….weeping profusely
“Don’t say that again Abike, you are not cursed, it’s that idiot Tunde that is cursed”
“If I am not cursed…then tell me how I fell for that devil…why did our paths ever cross.”
“Abike please be calm…please don’t say anything.”
She let out a loud cry again….”where do I start from, how do I explain to my family, wedding guest nko….eeee all the wedding preparations…it’s all over social media…eeee”
