Lost in the depth of each other’s eyes chit-chatting amidst laughter, they barely notice the waiter as he places the first course between them. Everyone around could tell there was something magical happening at their table. The joy on their faces was as vivid as the brightest full moon one could ever imagine.

They talked about work, family and personal life. Abike got to know that Tunde’s Parents were in Ibadan. He grew up as an only child in an average family and was really looking forward to starting his own family as soon as he meets the right woman.
They joked about what each had ordered when the main course arrived. Tunde’s order was quite heavy unlike Abike’s own. They ate slowly still chit-chatting with their bellies growing heavy with the devoured meals. They both shared a single dessert with him ensuring he feeds her from his own spoon. She laughs quietly at his playfulness wondering why mother universe decided to bless her with such sweet moment. How she wished time could stand still, so this moment will never end.
Tunde was such a gentle man. He made her feel so special and his choice of words were endearing. She was already feeling butterflies in her belly. For no particular reason she feared this feeling so much. If only there was an assurance that these feelings were mutual she thought within. Abike wasn’t thankful to uncooperative Mr Time at all as dinner came to an end.
