Sweet Stories: MR RIGHT - Episode 7 By Evelyn Ivy Ojo

Wedding preparations were in top gear with their pre-wedding pictures flying all over various social media. Friends and family were there to help. Their introduction was mostly attended by Abike’s family. According to Tunde, other family members will come for the main wedding.

He was already playing a good role in her life. Tunde calls her every morning to pray with her. There are times he would call her at mid-night to declare words upon her life. Tunde was all she ever wished for, even more than she ever wished for. He doesn’t smoke, he doesn’t drink and he is so committed in his local church. He also showers her with gifts.
There are times Abike would sit to reflect on how God has blessed her with such a wonderful man. Today was one of such times. Abike sat on the couch in her living room with her legs placed on a wooden stool recalling all their playful moments together. She couldn’t help but laugh when she remembered how he pranked her 3 days ago. An incoming call brought her back from cloud nine.
Seeing it's Tunde, her heart beat changed like a slow verse of song changing its beats at the chorus.
…“Hello Ifemi, bawoni, ”…
…“Fine my love, how are you doing too?”
…“Fine ifemi, I was just thinking about you”…
…“Really…that makes two of us, I was thinking about you too”.
…“hmmmmm…two hearts that beats as one”…
…“I can’t wait for you to finally be my wife love”…
…”same here Ifemi, I just can’t wait too”.
…“Pele dear, anyways babes I’m travelling this evening to portharcourt, I have just been asked to represent my company at a function”…
“Oh….not again jor…this your work self sha, but we were supposed to see a movie together in the evening”
“I’m sorry babes… I promise I to make it up to you when I return, please dear”
“Alright ifemi, you will go in peace and return in peace”
“Amennnn….thanks for your understanding love…I love you so much”
“I love you too Ifemi…bye…”
“yeah bye…talk to you later.
As she hung up the phone, it was as if she was biding him good bye for the last time. Tunde’s nature of Job was such that he had to travel most times especially weekends. She had never felt this way about any of his trips before. Maybe she misses him more this time around.
