Biafra: The Igbos Should Emulate The Yorubas - Opinion

To all the Biafrans. Pass this message to Nnamdi Kanu. Maybe he will have sense.
Yoruba people are the people we should always emulate when it comes to public cohesion and peaceful demonstration of opinions.

I never knew human beings from this part of the world can coordinate a summit to discuss critical issues like secession and restructuring without in-fighting and general violence.
I never thought we could discuss regional autonomy without mentioning 'zoo' and other ethnic slurs.
I still maintain that regional autonomy will favour one region exceedingly and that's the Southwest; such obedient and disciplined people.
A professor from Harvard was officiating the summit with governors and senators from both APC and PDP yet it ended peacefully, nobody used religion or ethnicity as a basis for divisiveness.
Muslims and Christians, radicals and peaceful people sat for a dialogue and an intelligent position was reached that good governance and prosperity of the Southwest could be achieved through optimized regional autonomy within a federated Nigeria, this was wisdom at its best because they considered the opinions of unitarists and secessionist yet arrived at a mutually acceptable position.
I strongly believe other regions could have mature and peaceful dialogue if they didn't allow young, inexperienced, and xenophobic illiterates lead them solely for personal elevation.
So proud of Yoruba people, that's how to dialogue in a mature way not through violence and historical revisionism.
