PDP: The Chairman In Raymond Dokpesi

A Successful Nigerian media businessman born in 1951 in Ibadan, Nigeria from Agenebode, Edo state. He entered the Nigerian mass media industry with his company DAAR Communications and set-up the Nigerian TV network Africa Independent Television(AIT).

He was the organising committee chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) national conference in 2015.

A Doctorate degree Holder in Marine Engineering, from University of Gdansk, Poland.

Pioneer of first private television network in Nigeria, Africa Independent Television (AIT)
also, Africa's first satellite Television station. Today Dokpesi is regarded as the media guru of Nigeria. Some also refer to him as the Ted Turner of Nigeria. Dokpesi did not only pioneered the first satellite TV but also the first privately owned radio station in Nigeria.

Raymond Dokpesi has built schools for communities and also offered scholarships to prospective students into tertiary institutions.

Dokpesi also has his hands in politics. One of his first political assignments was as a political campaign manager for the Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, which saw Tukur into the then Gongola state government house. He also assumed the same role during Alharji Adamu Ciroma presidential campaign, and Alharji Bamanga Tukur's presidential campaign in 1993. Likewise during Peter Odili's presidential campaign. Dokpesi was one of the leaders of the South-South People Assembly (SSPA) an organisation that seeks to promote south-south people of Nigeria.

Raymond Dokpesi has his hands in good and remarkable successes. His accomplishments include:
Established the first indigenous shipping line in Nigeria.
Established the first privately owned radio station Raypower FM in Nigeria.
Pioneered Nigeria's First global TV which was Africa's first ever Satellite TV station.
Established the first TV station to run 24-hour broadcasting in Nigeria.
Launched the African Independent signals in the United States.
Chairman of the Independent Broadcasting Association of Nigeria.
Helped in the formulation of the Nigerian Shipping Policy Act (decree) of 1986.

We do not only see a leader in him, but a Successful Leader that has all it takes to reclaim power and return the party to the throne of Ruling affairs of our Great Nation.

1.Under my watch, PDP shall institutionalize regular interface with elected office holders to ensure faithful implementation of PDP manifesto.

2. The failures of @APCNigeria presents an opportunity for Nigerians to vote out the party in 2019. We shall ensure victory for PDP.

3. If elected as Chairman of PDP in December, I will ensure full implementation of my 3 Rs (Reconciliation, Rebuild and Rejuvenate the PDP).

1.   Leadership recruitment process is a major panacea to the success of an organization like the @OfficialPDPNig.

2.   Under my watch & in consultation with other stakeholders, we will outline specific processes & procedures for seeking elective offices.

3.  The party must de-emphasize strict money based politics and encourage loyalty and succession plan at all levels of party administration.

1. Party Supremacy is another core principle and ideal my administration as @OfficialPDPNig National Chairman will bring to the table.

2. The PDP has suffered defection over the years due to indiscipline, impunity, and lack of internal democracy and party supremacy.

3. Under my stewardship, we shall work with every Organs of our party at all levels to inculcate discipline & restore supremacy in our party.
