Corporate organizations,philanthropist have been challenged in partnering government at all levels in using sports to promote peaceful coexistence in the country and empower youths in the society.
A sports administrator, Alhaji Tajudeen Adefisoye gave the challenge while fielding questions from journalists at the Akure sports complex ahead of a six aside football competition which will take place at the technical college in idanre.
Alhaji Adefisoye noted that aside taking youths off the street, sports if given attention has the potential to turn the fortune of a society.
While lamenting the poor developmental programs for sports in the country , Alhaji adefisoye said plans are ongoing to establish a football academy in ondo state to nurture discovered talents.
He further stated that the small Alhaji youth development foundation will provide free jerseys, boots, football for the competition while medals, trophy and cash rewards will be given to the finalist.
The competition starts today Thursday 21/9/2017 and ends on the 8/10/2017 at the technical college gbelegi road Idanre, Ondo state.
