The inconsistencies of political fraternity among disgruntled political elements have often times accounted for the feeble attempts made to pull aback, and of course, demean the reputation of the few politicians who have walked the murky waters of the game and emerged there from without stains.
Raymond Dokpesi, the PDP National Chairman hopeful, has also had a fare share of this campaign of calumny. This was represented in the attempt by political desperadoes to stain him in the so called "DasukiGate" saga.
While records must be straightened for posterity, especially at a critical time in the life of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) when capable hands are being sought for, to reposition the dwindling fortunes of our great party, it has become pertinent to, not only clear the misconceptions but to also re-inform the gullible minded about issues and facts.
The allegations of financial commitment leveled against Chief Dokpesi were not made to him as a person, but to the organization (AIT) for the media services it rendered. Note also that AIT rendered same service to APC and was paid for the service as well.
The question the accuser of High Chief Dokpesi needs to answer are:
1. When has it become illegal for an organization to get paid for the job done? Note that the allegation was not that he was given golden handshake, but that his organization was paid for job done.
2. Is it now the prerogative of High Chief Dokpesi and or Daar Communication (AIT) to set up investigative team that will always investigate the source of every money paid to the organization for job done?
3. Why didn't EFCC also investigate the source of APC campaign funds?
Those who are not mischievous will agree that the case against Chief Dokpesi is purely a case of witch-hunt, which is the usual characteristics of the ruling APC.
And I make bold to declare that the only members of PDP that may not be witch-hunted by this APC are those who are either quiet or sitting on the fence. Once you are set to give them credible opposition then get ready to be victimized.
It will suffice to state the obvious that, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi in the entirety of his struggle to shoulder a worthy reputation has remained a business man who shows concern for the development of the nation. His passion for the right cause motivated him to pitch tent with the PDP, as the party with the acute vision to deliver the true benefits of democracy to the teeming people of Nigeria. A passion that has equally motivated his ambition to lead the party and do the needful.
Hence, I urge every lover of our great party as well as those who are earnestly yearning for the liberation our dear country to massively rally round High Chief Raymond Dokpesi in his quest to lead our great party, (PDP) to rescue power from APC led government.
