The Anambra social media landscape has been filled with various clicks and groups, all in the front, to help push their causes, promote their principal, his interest and also solidify their stance as social media political warriors. I salute their brevity, their cling and hold on every of their fronts, their resilience and tenacity.
In all, we should not be carried away with the politicking or better still, not join ‘hate’ words with oppositions or rivals in killing a once – upon – time solid friendship. The core should be how to fix some lapses in the state and not otherwise.
In my usual way of proffering solutions to problems instead of discussing them, that in – tune will further escalate it. I will be starting a series titled ‘#FixAnambra.” #FixAnambra will be a front where problems that has since plunged the state, making it seem irreparable, will be looked into and adequate solution that has been tried be offered. Not also forgetting that, newer methods and approach to tackling problems will be shared.
#FixAnambra is an apolitical summation, as the current government can tap into the solutions or whoever wins, come November 18th, can follow same. The end of it all is, I wish for a great Anambra where my kids will be proud to show to the world, a state that will go close to the ‘special status’ accorded Lagos.
The problems to be looked into and solutions proffered is as follows:
~ Water (creation of a sustainable water scheme)
~ Low cost housing (Engaging citizens to getting good houses, making mortgage banks work)
~ Industrial Hubs (Building Free Trade Zones, that will create massive employment)
ICT HUB (investing in technology as the future, Engaging tech savvy youths)
Agriculture (Engaging Subsistence Farmers in accessing loans/grants, educating the huge populist that are in that sector. )
Education ( Upgrading the scope of learning, building E- learning centres, upgrading teachers to modern day teaching practices.)
Think Home Policy ( Organising seminars, forums, lectures to help convince billionaires from the state to invest in their state.)
Power Village (Building a power village that will be adjacent to the Industrial hub, it will help make the state an Industrial state.)
Rail network ( Building rail network round popular cities. )
This and many more will be discussed/shared in my #FixAnambra series.
#FixAnambra series 1, will be centred on the long term problem of the water scheme and the possible short term solution. #FixAnambra series 1 will go live tomorrow and others will follow subsequently.
