I Will Stop Marginalization of FCT, Chief Dokpesi Declares As He Paid A Visit To The FCT PDP Chapter.

It was a delightful atmosphere at the FCT PDP secretariat, area 10, Abuja, at the early hours of today as the FCT Party Chairman, Executives and other party Leaders received High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, an Aspirant for the office of National Chairman, and his campaign team.

During the visit, the PDP Acting Chairman for FCT, Alhaji Ibrahim Biko, while receiving Chief Dokpesi and his team expressed his joy and thanked Chief Dokpesi for the visit.

"You are the first person and only aspirant to visit the FCT secretariat of the party so far, and in our language, there is a saying that he who comes first, gets the first of everything there is," Alhaji Biko said.

In addition, a former House of Representativesmember, Alhaji Isa Dobi, commended Dokpesi's effort, for visiting the secretariat. He stated that the members of the party in FCT have been marginalized and neglected for so long, which is the reason why they do not occupy any position at the national level. He urged High Chief Dokpesi to ensure that the marginalization be stopped when he becomes the National Chairman of the party.

"Our support is with you, Chief Dokpesi, because of your dedication and support you gave to the PDP," he further stated.

High Chief Raymond Dokpesi then addressed party members and supporters present at the FCT Chapter Secretariat of the party, stating reasons why he is more qualified than any other aspirants for the office of National Chairman of the PDP.

He thanked the FCT party members for all their support towards the PDP and urged them not to stop supporting the party in their various capacities.

"The major issues that brought the PDP to its present condition are that, our leaders and our members became too confident of themselves. There was impunity and lack of respect for party’s constitution and lots of imposition of candidates." Chief Dokpesi Said.

He also stated that the PDP is contesting for the presidency with the APC in 2019 and the success of that election will depend on the outcome of December 9-10, 2017 National Convention of the party and producing a good National Working Committee (NWC). He reiterated that the commitment and sacrifice of the new NWC of the party is very important and should not be overlooked.

"I must appeal to you to be very careful with the type of leaders you elect, because if you do not have a good Chairman who can relate to the issues of the FCT PDP secretariat, then the pending issue of recognizing people who have given their all to the party will not be taken care of. This must be in the agenda. I am part and parcel of that and I want to say that it will be part of the Manifesto of the PDP, if you agree to elect me as the National Chairman. I want to represent you, I want to serve you and I want to uplift PDP members in FCT," he further stated.

Raymond Dokpesi said that the party achieved a lot when in power but made mistakes and part of the mistakes was neglecting the people of the FCT and that would be fixed once he emerges as the National Chairman of the PDP.

The Director General of the Dokpesi Campaign team, Engr. Mohammed Baba Kachala talked about Dokpesi's commitment towards the PDP and Nigeria as a whole and as a media mogul, stating that he has positively affected every part of the party and the country in various ways.

"The way and manner High Chief Dokpesi has shown commitment to the party and the country in the past till date is the same way and manner he will be dedicated to ensuring that the party regains power in 2019. All forms of marginalization will be stopped once he becomes the National Chairman", Baba Kachala said.

Finally, the acting Chairman of the FCT, Alhaji Ibrahim Biko, encouraged Dokpesi to keep the fire burning and never relent in exhibiting the characters of a true Leader.
