Hundreds of Nigerians stranded in Libya have returned to the country in the past weeks with the help of the IOM and the European Union among other concerned partners, following their awful experience in the North African country.
The arrival of the latest batch comes four days after 249 Nigerian migrants returned to the country with the aid of the IOM and EU.
While receiving some of the returnees earlier, Mr Yakubu asked them to learn from the bitter lessons they got in the course of their unpalatable sojourn and make better use of opportunities abound in Nigeria.
“There’s nowhere like home and Nigeria is a peculiar nation that God has endowed with bountiful resources that everyone can harness and prosper,” the NEMA official had said.
