The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has placed a N200 million bounty on the suspected gunmen that killed over 20 persons returning from the Cross Over Service in Ogba, Egbema, Ndoni Local Government Area of the state on the first day of the year.
The gunmen, armed with sophisticated weapons, went from house-to-house, shooting people in the area. Most of those killed had just returned from church where they had gone for the cross over service.
While visiting the community this morning, the governor pledged to fish out those behind the gruesome attack.
One of the victims of the attack, who lost her husband and child in the attack, told the Governor that the hoodlums stormed her home on the day of the attack and suddenly started shooting anyone in sight.
