Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah Urges Nigerians To Show True Love To One Another On Valentines Day

As Nigerians join millions of others across the world to celebrate the St. Valentine Day of Love, the Chairman, Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has urged Nigerians, irrespective of the ethnic nationalities to show true love among one another.

In a Felicitation Message personally signed by the the Oil Mogul, Dr. Ubah who is known for his unfettered love for the human capital development of Nigerian youths, said: "What is Love? What does the Bible teach us about Love? A lot has been said in the Bible in an attempt to make Love intelligible. 1 John 4:7-8 summarises Love in its entirety - "Love is God" and "God is Love."

"In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, the characteristics of agape - the altruistic and selfless love that God represents are listed: Love is patient and kind; Love doesn’t envy, boast, or dishonor others; Love is not proud or self-seeking; Love is not easily angered, doesn’t keep a record of wrongs, and doesn’t delight in evil; rather, Love rejoices with the truth; Love always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres; Love never fails."

The Publisher, Authority Newspapers, affirmed that "The Bible also taught us that God was so moved by Love that he gave his only Son in a bid to save the world from eternal damnation as elucidated by John 3:16 which reads "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life. This manner of Love was demonstrated by God despite man's failure to live by his tenets and commandments.

"All in all, God’s demonstration of Love shows that one is not required to be “worthy” before receiving or being shown Love as true Love is gracious.

"Seeing that Love is God’s nature and God is the solitary source of Love, we should endeavour to show Love to one another as taught by Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:35–40 and Mark 12:28–34 where he commanded us to love our neighbour like we love ourselves."

"It is imperative that we allow Love in the manner demonstrated by God be the principle and standard that guides and informs all our actions/inactions as this would definitely make our world a better place to live and coexist in. Let Love reign supreme! Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family," said Ubah, as he felicitates with millions of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora.
