Osun State Must Be Liberated, I Have Committed Myself To Serve My People - Sen Kola Ogunwale

Osun states foremost contender in the gubernatorial race Senator Felix Kolawole Ogunwale has officially submitted his letter of intent to the state chairman of PDP, Hon Olasoji Adagunodo amidst cheers from his teeming supporters to become the next governor of Osun State at the party's state secretariat in Oshogbo before the massive crowd that graced the occasion on Monday, 23rd April, 2018.
In his speech, which was reported by our correspondent:

he also added that his reason for devoting himself to become the next governor of Osun State is due to his love for his people and his passion to be used of God to rescue them from the myriad of problems and shackles of poverty they have been subjected to as a result of the misrule of the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola led APC and to ensure no community is marginalized in Osun State.

He stated clearly that he has not surrendered himself due to inordinate ambition to gather wealth. "No. God has blessed me from my early age. And what else am I looking for, if not to serve my people?" He said.

The millionaire business tycoon who has served as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria disclosed this to correspondents on Monday 23rd April, 2018 after the occasion of his official expression of intent to become the governor of Osun State at the Osun State PDP Secretariat in Osogbo as he throws more light on his speech

He said;
God has blessed me since my early life and the same God also endows me with "wisdom, knowledge, understanding and business acumen that have helped me to keep sailing in life crowning whatever I lay my hands on with success. Hence, considering this time of trial in the land of my birth what else can I do for my people than to dedicate myself to serve my people so as to contribute my quota in getting them out of the chains of APC through God's endowment upon my life?" he disclosed.

Adding also that "with the level God has taken him to in life, there is nothing more he is looking for than service to his people now that the state needs him most."

The PDP gubernatorial hopeful for Osun State 2018 election also adds that there is the notion that it is difficult to get good people in politics and having proven that wrong when he was serving as Senator, as he always ensured any money that was supposed to be for the benefit of the people of his constituency reached them amongst other proof of integrity in politics; "I now want to take another step to proof that no matter the position you occupy you can stand out," he submits.

One of the attendees who spoke to our correspondent simply identified himself as Mr Olajide also confirmed that "it was when Senator Ogunwale was serving as Senator that we knew that there is money in the Senate and that there was constituency allowance that other Senators keep to themselves. But as for our distinguished Senator Ogunwale we all benefited from his constituency allowance as he vowed never to keep the money that is for the public in his pocket. And he lived up to expectations," Jide asserted.

When asked if he will vote him as governor, he answered in the affirmative stressing that not only him but "Osun people will massively vote Chief Jumokol. A man that we really enjoyed his impact as a Senator. Who doesn't keep the money for his constituency in his pocket. Rather he will ensure that Abuja money that is supposed to be for his constituency reached them," he concluded.

One of the women in attendance by name, Mrs. Remi Olawale also testified that she knows "people that are still using the bike they got through Senator Jumokol when he was in the Senate to assist their families till today." She exclaims "Osun fun Jumokol. Jumokol f'Osun!" meaning "Osun for Jumokol. Jumokol for Osun!"
