Hoodlums Attacks Ejigbo Lagos Police Station Midnight, Destroyed Several Cars.

Residents of Ejigbo in Oshodi Isolo and it's environs were thrown into panic last night as some hoodlums numbering about 50 stormed the police station in the dead of the night at about 11:30pm for an attack.

We gathered that one of their motorcycle (Okoda) riders was hit by a speeding Rapid Response Squad (RRS) who were not even attached to Ejigbo Police post.

The hoodlums who reportedly came with dangerous weapons including dane guns, short knifes, dagger, cans of petrol to set the Station ablaze.

Before police could overpower them, they have destroyed windscreen of most of the cars parked in front of the station including the police patrol vehicles, It took the police several hours to be able to push them back with series of gun exchange, and tear gas canisters

One of the car dealers in the area who regularly parks his cars at the station for safety was seriously injured when he made effort to pacify the Hausa hoodlums not to destroy one of his cars.
