The death of my dear former colleague and brother, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu came as a rude shock to me and everyone I know connected to him one way or the other.
While death is inevitable, and every mankind must taste death; it hits home differently when you lose someone you’re used to seeing every week at the chamber and at other legislative functions.
Benjamin Uwajumogu was a vibrant legislator and a detribalized Nigerian who prioritized the well-being of his constituents and the good people of Imo State.
His death no doubt will leave a great vacuum that will be difficult to fill. It is my prayer that God almighty will be with his immediate and extended families and grant them the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
