The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied online reports that its officials arrested two sons of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Sirajo and Sanni Tanko.
Reports were rife online on Monday February 24th that the two sons of the CJN, Muhammad Tanko, were arrested in connection with a fraud related case. The reports claimed that the arrest was to force CJN to reverse the recent Supreme Court judgement overturning the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State.
However, the DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya, in a chat with newsmen, said there is no truth to the report.
“They were not arrested; we didn’t arrest the two sons of the CJN.” he said
