Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok has survived an assassination attempt after a bomb blast occured near his convoy in the country's capital, Khartoum on Monday.
Hamdok confirmed the incident on Twitter writing that he was "safe and in good shape"
"What happened will not stop the path of change, it will be nothing but an additional push in the strong waves of the revolution,"
It is not yet clear who carried out the attack, but the political situation in Sudan remains precarious after last year's political transition led to many once-powerful individuals, especially in the military, being sidelined.
