FC Ifeanyi Ubah a Trailblazer - Says Angus Kinnear

West Ham United Managing Director, Angus Kinnear says FC Ifeanyi Ubah is endeared in the hearts of the management and staff of the London club side because of the qualities and vision of the founder, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
Kinnear, who made the assertions during the partnership signing ceremony and dinner in honour of visiting West Ham officials in Lagos, said the club is selective of organisations it deals with, but found the President of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Dr. Ubah, a reliable and serious-minded businessman.

"When West Ham go into partnership, we are very selective. We only want to partner with people that share our vision and values. In Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah and Capital Oil and Gas, we found that. We found a group of companies with extraordinary vision and a real pioneering experience.
“ I have visited Capital Oil and Gas facilities. It is a group of companies with extraordinary vision and experience. They are great.”
Speaking of the historic partnership, Dr. Ubah said: "Our aim is to work with best world practice. Whatever that you see in London, I am sure in the next couple of months, you will start seeing the same in Nnewi. Looking at what we are putting up in Nnewi, you will see the same with West Hams’ stadium in England.
"We've taken a good step by having a formidable team. A club that just got into the NPFL last season and finished 11th position and in the just-concluded season, we ended 4th.
"Like they say, a journey of a million miles starts with a step, but it must be a good one. We are bringing a lot of innovations into the industry. You can see some of our foreign players, our different coaches from Brazil, Bulgaria as well as Nigerian coaches. But the most passionate part of our business is grassroots development.
“ I hope to have a Nigerian playing for West ham. We want them to come to pick Nigerian players first before looking at other countries.
"We should not forget the day of little beginning. Our business is to start getting our children to have football consciousness, have passion for football, play football and let us see how a country like Nigeria will not produce at least 10 Messis and 10 Ronaldos in the next four years.
"In our football, we are not producing enough players but we are highly talented. So partnering with West Ham, we have a lot of interest in terms of revenue for our club, in terms of partnering with a good brand, in terms of partnering with the best football academy in the world which West Ham is known for.
"Also, we are looking at interests which range from scouting, football development, transfer of players, going to England during summers to play friendly matches.
Explaining his love for West Ham United, Dr. Ubah, extoled the Managing Director of League Management Company, Mallam Shehu Dikko, who he disclosed linked him with West Ham, thanking him for the advice and guidance which has metamorphosed into an enviable and historic partnership.
Continuing he said: “I used to be an Arsenal Fan, but today, I am a West Ham fan. FC Ifeanyi Ubah will from next season, wear the same jerseys as West Ham United. Their fan base in growing in Nigeria and I am working hard to make a huge success of the partnership," he concluded.
