Confed Cup: FCIU Gallantly On Course for Next Round - Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah

FC Ifeanyi Ubah is firmly on course to qualify for the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, President of the club, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has declared.
The business mogul, who is also the Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, showered praises on the Anambra Warriors for the 1-0 win against Al- Masry of Egypt on Sunday in their first leg match, saying, “the team is now focused on securing the maximum points from Al-Masry SC at Port-Said next Sunday.”

He said: “I saw our team play with lots of determination to beat Al-Masry SC as their gallant and resilient efforts paid off after 87 minutes of total dominance. The team was full of character and grit as they went ahead to register their first victory ever on the continent. While I salute them for this momentous victory, I wish to remind them of the task ahead as there is need to quickly shift focus to the return leg at Port-Said, Egypt on Sunday.
“I am fully confident of victory at the Port-Said stadium. I can only say to the team, go and complete the excellent job you started! The victory in Port Said will guarantee our qualification to the next stage of the competition.
Dr. Ubah thanked the teeming fans for the massive turnout during the match, adding that “it is a pointer that our people see the team as theirs and will always stand by them while the victory over Al-Masry SC of Egypt in the CAF Confederation Cup match has shown the world why FC Ifeanyi Ubah Int'l Stadium is a fortress”
He further urged the Yaw Preko- led technical team to put their act together to stop Al-Masry on Sunday.
