Poor Leadership: APC has Failed Nigeria - Gov Wike

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed Nigerians with its poor leadership style.
Wike further remarked that APC as a failed party is obvious to most Nigerians and asserted that Rivers State has become one of the few functioning states in the country.
The governor spoke at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign for Etche/ Omuma Federal Constituency at Afara on Thursday.

He stated that “despite the illegal collaboration between the APC and the Police, the people of Rivers would not allow the rigging of the last re-run elections for Etche/ Omuma Federal Constituency tomorrow”.
Wike explained that while the PDP is campaigning for victory based on its performance, the APC leaders are in Abuja plotting rigging methods with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Police.
The governor said: “APC has failed Nigeria. Nigeria has collapsed. The only state that is working in Nigeria is Rivers State. That is why the APC cannot campaign here.
“We will not allow a situation where we will do the campaign and the APC will liaise with the Police and INEC to rig the election. The votes of our people must count.
“Allow democracy to thrive in Nigeria. You cannot continue to deceive the people. We shall not allow the police and other security agencies to hijack electoral materials on Saturday,” he emphasised.
Wike maintained that the PDP is popular with the Etche people because of the numerous projects executed in the area by his administration, among other things.
“I live by my promises. In Etche Local Government Area, it is either I have fulfilled my promises or I am fulfilling them. I have completed the Igwuruta-Chokocho Road, while the Chokocho-Umuechem-Ozuzu Road, Afara-Nihi-Ulakwo and Chokocho-Igbo Etche Roads are on-going. The Etche people will continue to enjoy projects from my administration, “he stressed.
The Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Sekibo, urged the people of Etche to join the Wike revolution by ensuring PDP wins the Etche/OmumaFederal Constituency tomorrow.
The former Acting National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, reminded them that the PDP remains the best option for the people of constituency.
The highpoint of the rally was the presentation of Chief Jerome Eke as the PDP candidate for the Federal Constituency and Mr. Tony Ejiogu as the PDP candidate for the Etche State Constituency.
