Kebbi State host progressive Governors Forum as Acting President Commissioned some vigorous projects in the state
The acting President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo visited Kebbi State Yesterday, Tuesday 1st August, 2017.

The Vice President joined the APC Governors who were already in the state for Progressive Governors Forum meeting.




The Vice President who spoke at the joint conversation between the Federal Government and the Progressive Governors described the forum as a progressive movement aimed at facilitating the attainment of APC manifesto as well as ensuring policy synergy among states with a view to fulfill the obligations of Nigerians.
He further elaborated that, the forum carries an ideological burden of economic policy centered on the welfare and happiness of the majority of Nigerians. The policy is based on the principle that we must grow what we eat and produce what we consume.







The Vice President stressed that, the Anchor Borrowers Program which is part of the agricultural policy of the current administration has provided assistance to subsistent farmers all over the country, where in Kebbi State alone over Four Hundred and Twenty One farmers benefitted. The Federal Government is no longer importing grains to feed its people especially those in the IDPs.
He finally commend the outstanding performance and effective leadership of Governor Bagudu in ensuring food sufficiency and agricultural diversification.
The Acting President would later commission some projects among which is the WACOT rice processing industry.
