Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Is Missing Says IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), yesterday declared its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu missing.

In a statement signed by Comrade Emma Powerful, its Media and Publicity Secretary stated this in a statement made available to newsmen.

The IPOB statement read thus: ‘’We the family of Indig­enous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its leadership worldwide under the command and lead­ership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to bring to the notice of the whole world that the where-abouts of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and parents are still unknown to mankind since the attack in his compound last week. IPOB has been searching for our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and parents nowhere to be found since last week; we are challenging the Nigerian Army and Police to produce our lead­er Nnamdi since it is a preroga­tive right for him to make state­ment informing his confidants and teeming members all over the world about his condition.

‘’For the army systematic withdrawal and deployment of police with the posting of police to every strategic places around his compound and the entire community proves that the Nigerian government knows the where-abouts of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whether he is alive or dead, because the Army have done the job they were sent to do at Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku in Umuahia Abia State. We are reliably in­formed that the Nigerian Army picked Nnamdi Kanu, father and mother within the time of the attack. We are calling men and women of good conscience across the globe to prevail on Nigerian government and her security operatives especially the Army with the South East Governors to produce our lead­er Mazi Nnamdi Kanu before it is too late, because we have gone so deep in search for our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is nowhere to be found.”

It is high time the whole world asks questions about Nnamdi Kanu’s where-abouts because Kanu’s family were in­side the compound during the attack. We also observed that during the heavy attack and high handedness on Nnamdi Kanu’ family about 22 IPOB members were killed and their dead bodies were taking away by Nigerian army and police of­ficers who were drafted for the attack.”
